About the space opera set
There are several well-known themed filler generators built from film dialogue. This one is not: the space text here is written from scratch to evoke the genre without reproducing anyone's script. It reads like the right kind of nonsense and carries no licensing baggage, which matters if the filler ever escapes into something you ship by accident. Everyone has shipped filler by accident.
How the text is laid out
Body copy is wrapped once for the whole document and then dealt out page by page, so a five page file contains five pages of different text rather than the same opening paragraph five times. Lines are measured with approximate Helvetica metrics, which is accurate enough for filler and costs almost nothing to compute.
If you supply your own body, it is capped at 4000 characters and limited to plain ASCII. Longer text is truncated at the point the pages run out rather than silently spilling.
